Wanna Become A DJ? An Authentic & Candid Guide
The DJ world is a complex and misunderstood industry, where societal barriers prevent even the most passionate of artists from entering. “Wanna Become A DJ?” is a two-piece guide that teaches people how to DJ and critiques the harsh realities that come with entering the DJ industry, accompanied by
a set of foldout posters.

Learn to DJ
From Scratch
An informative and technical guide to DJing, divided into six concise sections: Education, Equipment & Software, The Basics & Music Styles, Networking, Producing, and Tips & Tricks. Each section includes a deep dive into terminology, skill sets, statistics within the industry, and recommended equipment. Once unfolded, the back poster reveals a detailed dissection of the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4, one of the most beginner-friendly DJ controllers. Annotations reveal the names of various buttons and knobs, while descriptions detail the purpose of the different parts.

Don’t Quit
Your Day Job
A critique on the DJ industry that strives to inform and alert beginner DJs about the difficult realities that come with the career. Divided into five sections: Gender, Race, Gatekeeping Culture, Salary, and Beating the Odds. Each section includes anecdotes from real DJs and data collected from various studies. Once unfolded, the back poster highlights a handful of female DJs that are breaking records within the industry. Female DJs from three experience levels are described: established, experienced, and beginners.
